Summary

Les Griottes (French for 'Morello cherries' - but that doesn't help me explain why they named this building after them!) is a great base for a family skiing holiday. The apartment is on the first floor of a recent chalet-style residence, just one minute's walk from the centre of Le Monêtier les Bains, Serre Chevalier 1500, and four minutes walk from the pistes!

Enter the apartment and you have the double bedroom to the left with views of the village, and a handy entrance area and cupboard - ideal for general 'winter clobber'! There is also a large private ski locker although you can of course leave all your gear at the bottom of the pistes which is far more convenient.

The bathroom, with shower and a full-size bath, is accessed via the hallway, opposite which is a bunkbed for two.

Large windows and the glass doors to the balcony make the apartment bright and airy. From your sofa and dining table you have views of the village, the pistes, surrounding peaks and Monêtier's very own glacier. From the balcony you can lie back and soak up the winter sun!

This is an ideal apartment for a family of four and is comfortably furnished although you will need to bring along pillow cases, duvet covers, sheets and towels.

The supermarket is just a couple of minutes walk, as are the bars and restaurants.
