Incredible location – literally right in front of the piste Luc Alphand, Chantemerle. Just a snowball’s throw from the Bletonet chair lift, the bubble and the cable car. If you want to be right in the action but have the comforts of a home-from-home in a small residence of piste-side apartments, I am eager to welcome you into Le Parandier!
The owners have used this property as their second home since it was built 12 years ago (1999). They have given it a complete refurbish with guests’ needs – comfort and convenience – in mind. One or two families or a group of up to eight (10 also possible) friends will enjoy its proximity to Chantemerle’s bars, restaurants and shops. The best bit though, is that despite being right in the heart of the village, this particular residence is slightly tucked away next to the river Guisane (which you can hear flowing from the windows). It’s quiet. You have views of trees, the river and the piste Luc Alphand from almost every window. The busy centre of Chantemerle is right there, but not right in front of you.
The property is on the top two floors of the residence. Enter the handy corridor space to leave coats and shoes. Turn right to access the family bedroom (it has two twins which can be made into a double, plus a bunkbed) and then there’s a bathroom with washing machine right next door, and a WC.
At the other end of the corridor is the kitchen with an inventory that’ll keep cooks very happy. From here, you have views of the forest that skirts the Piste Luc Alphand while overlooking the dining and lounge area with open fireplace.
Upstairs there’s a fantastic space to hang out and put your feet up with a comfy sofa and TV/DVD. There are two bedrooms off this open space, one we call the master double (with additional double sofabed if required) and the other is a twin which can be made into a double. The whole apartment features wooden panelling giving it a chalet-feel and this is most evident upstairs where you’re effectively in the loftspace – and what views!
Le Parandier offers a really warm and pleasant environment in an unbeatable setting. You even have private parking and a garage to keep your car and/or equipment such as bikes, canoes, …

The beautiful Cité Vauban (the old town of Briançon), a short drive from the apartment, is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will happily book one of its restaurants for you e.g. Lou Grand Caire, or Le Passé Simple. You can walk leisurely around the fortifications and the magnificent Collegiale church and, during the day, the main cobbled street provides entertainment and a multitude of shops and cafés.
