Child Care in Serre Chevalier

Evening babysitting, or a private nanny to care for your child or children during your stay? Our childcare service, for babies and children of all ages, will fulfill your needs

We work alongside a local crèche in Serre Chevalier to provide reliable and fun daytime childcare and/or evening babysitting based at your holiday accommodation, with a qualified British or English-speaking childminder/nanny.
Our prices vary depending on the number of children. If you prefer that your child joins other children at a local crèche, we’ll organise this instead.

Meet the fabulous Fran!

“Fran here! I’m articulate, outgoing, natural and active. I’m passionate about caring for children and believe every child is unique and their individuality should be celebrated and their needs cared for to the highest of standards. I have five years experience in childcare. I hold Cache NVQ Level 2 and 3 Qualifications in Children’s Care, Learning & Development and I’m a qualified Paediatric First Aider. I’m hard working, trustworthy and organised. I love the mountains and have walked the British hills and coastline, the Canadian Rockies and the French and Austrian Alps in summer. Now I’m learning to ski so I can enjoy the mountains in winter too!”

Call or email Melanie anytime to chat through your options for childcare in Serre Chevalier.

What will the kids get up to?

For winter holidays, your nanny will drop the children off at ski school and pick them up later if required. If the sun’s out and they’re not on the mountain learning to ski, then SNOW is the game. Even young babies enjoy playing with snow and helping older children make snowmen. In summer there are fantastic parks for children as well as bouncy castles, trampolines, free rides on a ‘petit train’, trips up the mountain by cable-car, picnics in the forest, swimming at Lac Pontillas. Our nannies know the valley and will ensure plenty of smiles on your childrens’ faces. Put simply, children will be entertained outdoors and in, doing what they love best!

Bring Your Baby Skiing

Don’t skip the annual skiing holiday just because you’ve had a baby! Bring your baby on holiday with you – stay in one of our spacious properties in great locations and we’ll provide all the baby equipment you need. A nanny will care for and occupy your baby for a few hours so you can get some skiing in, or all day (or mix and match with a few half-days and a full-day here and there.) We can arrange childcare for babies who are three months old and up, with or without their young siblings! Ski lessons can also be arranged for children of all ages; we recommend private lessons for children under four years old.

Relax & Unwind with your Newborn

Newborn babies, as young as a few weeks old, just love being in the mountains! Pure air, a little altitude and gentle walks makes for great sleeping, and parents can unwind with beautiful views and warm temperatures almost guaranteed from spring through to early October. We can organise a nanny to look after your baby as and when you like, or to babysit for an evening or two. Our children (now four and two years old – 2011) are saving all their baby toys for our guests and are only too happy to tell you all about their favourite things to do in Serre Chevalier!

Hey, babies & toddlers!

"When staying in one of our properties, we can provide a cot, high chair, baby bath, buggy, BabyCook, toys and books - free of charge. Just ask if there's anything else you need."

Melanie Crosby

"We were really happy with Fran. I was having kittens the night before about leaving the boys so it was great to have Fran 30 minutes early to settle in with them and she was straight on the floor with them which is what they need to get to know someone."

N.F., Jan 2012

“Rio was great. A lovely girl, and a real affinity for children.”

S.E.J., April 2011

“Rio was great and put up with our ‘stroppy’ two year old very well. Thanks for sorting that out, it gave us a little bit longer to ski so we made it over to Monêtier and Villeneuve.”

J.H., Feb 2011

“We had a great time though largely down to Frédérique as she was great with the kids and they weren’t distressed to be left, even though they weren’t feeling well. Please thank her again when you next see her!”
